Benifits of Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships 2024 in Germany
For Masters:
- The monthly payment for non-EU students is €850 + additional allowances. In some circumstances, Germany may impose tuition fees.
- EU students: Tuition fees are not permitted in Germany but are permitted to a limited level in other nations; the maximum monthly amount is €649 + €300 for book money.
- The standard study duration, which may be increased by one semester, is covered by this grant.
For PhD:
- Tuition fees are not permitted; instead, students from outside the EU are eligible for a monthly stipend of €1,200 plus a €100 mobility allowance and several additional allowances.
- Students from the European Union are eligible for a monthly stipend of €1350 and a €100 research expense allowance. In Germany, there are no tuition costs, however, there may be minimal expenses in other countries.
- Moreover, the scholarship is typically given out for two years, however, it may be extended twice by a maximum of six months each time.

- Language proficiency in German. not less than Level B2 or DSH 2.
