Scholarships from the Heinrich Boll Foundation are available to overseas students who want to attend German institutions for free in 2024. This year, the Heinrich Foundation gave out 1,000 scholarships. The DAAD Foundation and the Heinrich Boll Foundation will jointly support the scholarships offered by the Heinrich Boll Foundation in 2023. One of the most well-known and distinguished scholarship programs in Germany is this one.

The Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarships in Germany 2024 are open to students in any major enrolled in a German institution. There is no fee for applying. Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and civic engagement. The foundation’s ideals, such as justice, democracy, sustainability, and the environment, must also be supported.

Benifits of Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships 2024 in Germany

For Masters:

  • The monthly payment for non-EU students is €850 + additional allowances. In some circumstances, Germany may impose tuition fees.
  • EU students: Tuition fees are not permitted in Germany but are permitted to a limited level in other nations; the maximum monthly amount is €649 + €300 for book money.
  • The standard study duration, which may be increased by one semester, is covered by this grant.

For PhD:

  • Tuition fees are not permitted; instead, students from outside the EU are eligible for a monthly stipend of €1,200 plus a €100 mobility allowance and several additional allowances.
  • Students from the European Union are eligible for a monthly stipend of €1350 and a €100 research expense allowance. In Germany, there are no tuition costs, however, there may be minimal expenses in other countries.
  • Moreover, the scholarship is typically given out for two years, however, it may be extended twice by a maximum of six months each time.

  • If you have already started your studies, a list of academic certificates.
  • Language proficiency in German. not less than Level B2 or DSH 2.
  • The form must be filled out.
  • Additionally, certificate of student enrollment.
  • Moreover, lecturer at a university or college University entrance qualification or equivalent recommendation letter.
  • You must provide a certified copy of your first-degree certificate in order to apply as an international student for a master’s program.
