The 2024–2025 Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation Scholarship is fully financed.Initially, this fellowship is available to students in Germany for both undergraduate and graduate work. A monthly basic income of up to EUR 850, health insurance costs, and, if applicable, family and baby allowances are covered by this scholarship.
Up to 40 deserving students may receive this scholarship, which also comes with a full seminar program designed to improve the candidates’ academic and social skills. If a student from any subject area demonstrates exceptional academic ability, wants to study in Germany, and is committed to the values of social democracy, they are eligible to apply.

- Basically, a monthly stipend of EUR 750 for students enrolled in state examination, diploma, master’s, or bachelor’s programs.
- Additionally, 850 euros per month for a master’s program stipend.
- Health insurance premiums are covered, and students who have children are given a family stipend of EUR 276.
- Moreover, there is no requirement to repay the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria For The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship
- Initially, the required Languages were German and English
- Suitable Nations: talented pupils from Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
- Entrance to study or enrollment in a German state-run or state-approved higher education institution
with adequate command of German, even when classes are taught in English. This can be a “Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache” of at least level 4, a “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” of at least DSH level 2, or a “Zertifikat C 1” from the Goethe Institute. - Moreover, it is expected of candidates to demonstrate a commitment to social democratic values.
