About The Flinders International Research Scholarship (FIPRS)
In essence, the Flinders Foreign Research Scholarship (FIPRS) covers foreign tuition fees and includes a stipend. There are only a few FIPRS for overseas students available each year (5 scholarships in 2022), and each round is extremely competitive as a result. Candidates who exhibit exceptional academic achievement, academic merit, academic research training, and research indicators and performance are given the FIPRS. The scholarship can be used towards a Research Doctorate degree for up to three years and a Research Master’s degree for up to two years.
Eligibility Of FIPRS:
- Initially, the applicant must not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status, or New Zealand citizenship, and must be a citizen of any other country besides New Zealand.
- Moreover, candidates should have the intention of beginning full-time study for a higher degree.
- The student must have the intention of enrolling in a research concentration.
- Furthermore, all entry requirements for a higher degree must be met by applicants.

Benefits Of FIPRS:
- Tuition fees are covered by the FIPRS.
- Additionally, a stipend also offers the recipient a considerable living allowance of $33,000 per year (at the rate of 2023).
- Moreover, an international FIPRS student moving to Adelaide may be eligible for an establishment allowance
- Furthermore, up to $1,485 to help with moving expenses and travel, provided the student can demonstrate receipts (after enrolling at Flinders).
