The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Programme offers merit-based scholarships to graduate students pursuing master’s and doctorate degrees.
Furthermore, graduate students in all academic fields can apply for awards at partnering institutions in Ontario. Each award is co-funded by the Ontario Province (two-thirds) and the institution providing it (one-third). Therefore, all citizens are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Value OGS Program in Canada
Initially, OGS awards are determined by the number of terms you have studied in a row within a given academic year:
- $10,000 for two consecutive terms of study
- $15k for three study terms in a row.
Therefore, every OGS award is given out for:
- A minimum of 1 academic year (two or three terms in a row).
- Two years at most (up to six consecutive academic sessions).
Eligibility Criteria For Canada Scholarship
A merit-based scholarship, OGS. Specifically, your application is evaluated and graded according to standards set by the school you want to attend.
You must also fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered:
- You’ll be enrolled in graduate school for a master’s or doctorate degree.
