Eligibility for the Ian James Evans Scholarship at the University of Essex:
- In 2023–2024, students must begin their first year of study on a Postgraduate LLM or Undergraduate LLB course at Essex Law School.
- Students must be in apparent financial hardship right now.
- Postgraduate students must have earned a 2:1 or above in their undergraduate degree (or a comparable qualification from another country) as their first degree.
- Applicants for undergraduate programs must be blind, deaf, or wheelchair users.
Value of the scholarship:
- Undergraduate students must pay £9,250 in home (UK) tuition fees, or an equal fee discount for international students, as well as £500 for books and course-related expenses for a maximum of three years of study.
- For postgraduate students, £9,660 will cover their domestic (UK) tuition costs, or they will receive a fee reduction for studying abroad for just one year.
