Description
International students can apply for the fully funded Shanghai Government Scholarship 2024–2025. Scholarships for master’s, doctoral, and undergraduate courses are available. This scholarship pays for living expenses up to CNY3500 a month, housing, health insurance, and the entire cost of tuition.
International students may apply for the Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) to pursue higher education in Shanghai, China, in the 2024–2025 academic year. In order to recruit more and more talented foreign students, the Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) was established in 2006 with the goal of advancing the growth of international student education in Shanghai.

Eligibility Criteria For The Shanghai Government Scholarships
- Language Requirements: Generally speaking, applicants must meet the HSK4 level in Chinese as well as the language requirements of the university and program they are applying to.
- All nations in the world are eligible, with the exception of Chinese nationals.
- The pre-college program requires applicants to be under 23 years old and to have completed high school.
- Candidates for the bachelor’s program must be under 25 and have completed high school.
- Candidates for the master’s program must be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates for the Ph.D. program must be under 40 years old and hold a master’s degree.
- In addition, exceptional in terms of academic achievement.
- Additionally, applicants fulfill the program’s and the applied university’s admission standards.
- A candidate is not eligible to apply for SGS if they have already been awarded any other scholarships from Chinese government agencies or organizations.
