Description
International students are eligible to apply for fully funded Humboldt Research Fellowships in 2024–2025. Only post-doctoral studies are eligible for these awards. A monthly fellowship of 3,150 EUR is awarded as part of this fellowship, and additional funding is available for accompanying family members and belongings.
Highly skilled foreign researchers who have recently started their academic careers and finished their doctorates less than four years ago can spend six to twenty-four months conducting research in Germany thanks to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria For The Humboldt Research Fellowship
- All nations across the world are eligible.
- a doctorate or a similar degree that can be earned in no more than four years (PhD, CSc, or equivalent).
- evaluations from experts, particularly those who are not employed by the applicant’s own institution, such as the PhD supervisor and another academic qualified to provide well-founded feedback on the applicant’s qualifications.
- Language requirements: natural sciences and engineering: good command of either German or English; humanities or social sciences and medicine: German, if not an excellent command of English.
