DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme (Master’s Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance - PPGG) 2024

The Master’s Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG) 2024 DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Program is available to students pursuing a master’s degree in development studies and social development. Applying for this scholarship is available here. The application must be submitted by July 31, 2024. This scholarship, offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), has full funding, including tuition, a stipend, and other benefits. The following countries are eligible to apply for this scholarship: developing nations.

The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme, also known as Public Policy and Good Governance, provides support to future leaders of developing countries who aspire to advance social justice and democracy in their own countries. The program, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, offers a Master’s degree in subjects particularly relevant to the social, political, and economic development of the participating countries. First-degree highly qualified graduates are being prepared for future leadership roles in their home countries by receiving instruction in political science, law, economics, and administration within the framework of good governance.

For Master’s Scholarships in Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG) under the DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Program, applicants must be eligible:

Applicants must be citizens of developing or emerging countries and hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
Those with above-average (upper third) first-degree grades in the social and political sciences, law, economics, public policy, and administration
Those who are willing to significantly contribute to the social, political, and economic development of their home countries or areas
Candidates with a history of relevant real-world experience (from employment, internships, or political/social involvement)
